Graphite Shaft Replacement Length

I have a Mizuno MX-950 hybrid no.3 with steel shaft. The length is 38.75″. I would like to reshaft them with a graphite shaft. What should be the new length of the club?

Ronald,

It depends on the weight of the shaft and the desired swingweight. Typically graphite shafted clubs (assuming a lighter weight graphite shaft) are 1/2-1″ longer than their steel counterparts.

I have a set of Tour Edge Exotics CNC Forged Blade irons with Project X flighted shafts. Will these shafts work for the Taylormade TP irons, (newer version, not R9’s). Am I correct in assuming they are both .355 taper tips? Thanks.

The TP driver is .335″ and the MT irons are .370″ parallel.
