Ping Eye2 Reshaft

Can I reshaft my Ping Eye2 irons from ZZ Lites to a Senior Graphite?
Jim, Oroville, California, USA

Jim,

As long as the senior shafts are taper tips, the answer is yes.

Jeff

Yonex Fairway Wood Reshaft

How do you reshaft a Yonex ADX 200 fairway wood?
Randy, Bullard, Texas, USA

Randy,

If memory serves me correctly, the head is titanium in some model years and graphite in others. If it’s titanium, it goes like a normal reshaft. If it’s graphite, the best way to ensure saving the head is to drill the shaft out. Heating the composite head will likely damage it.

Mizuno Iron Reshaft

I have an old set of Mizuno MX-23 irons with True Temper Dynamic Gold S-300 shaft. I’m 66 and want to replace with senior graphite shafts. Is this possible? Thanks.
Tom, Avon Park, Florida, USA

Tom,

The reshafts are possible. I might look at a more modern set before investing in graphite for the older set though.

Jeff

Ping Iron Reshaft

I want to change shafts on my Ping G20 irons to senior FM regular steel or graphite. What do you recommend?
Joe, Buffalo, New York, USA

Joe,

The shafts need to be taper tip. Without knowing more about your swing, it’s tough to make a recommendation. Look for a quality club maker and schedule a fitting for an accurate recommendation.

Titleist AP2 Iron Reshaft

I am trying to reshaft my Titleist AP2 irons and when I took the first couple of heads off there was a post in the hosel, almost like a weight. I remember the last time I reshafted the clubs the post being there. The post is bigger then the opening in the bottom of the shaft and it won’t go on, other then a few mm. They are tapered so I don’t tip trip, any ideas what I need to do to do this properly. Thanks.
Paul, Westbank, BC, Canada

Paul,

They are weights. You can use a drill to remove them or you can heat the hosels again and tap the open ends on the bench and the weights may come out.

Regards,

Jeff
