Jeff Jackson is Director of Product Development for Powerbilt Golf. Louisville-based Powerbilt has been run by the same family since 1916 and claims 88 victories on the PGA Tour, including several major championships. At Powerbilt, Jackson will be involved with club design and is responsible for managing Powerbilt’s worldwide licensees.

Jackson is also co-owner of Granville Golfland, a golf practice facility, pro shop, repair center and miniature golf course in Central Ohio. Recently Golfland was named a Top 100 range by Golf Range Association of America. During the past two years, Jackson has been a consultant to Peerless Golf, a Louisville based component company. His main duties were to assist in catalog development and provide technical support for Peerless customers. He also authored weekly internet newsletters for Peerless and authored numerous technical articles for the Peerless website. Jackson was Director of Marketing for Tour Golf Products, a Columbus, Ohio, based component company from 2004-2006. His duties included product evaluation and sourcing, catalog production and technical writing.

Jackson spent two years at Mitchell Golf Equipment Company of Dayton, OH. Mitchell is considered to be the leading club repair tool company in golf. At Mitchell Golf, he increased industry and consumer awareness of the company through press releases, written articles and presentations at various golf events and expos. He coordinated all trade show activities for the company, from booth selection to setup and tear down. He was active in Mitchell’s Club Performance school, the industry’s flagship school related to launch monitor fitting.

Prior to his tenure at Mitchell, Jackson was president of Dynacraft Golf Products, Inc, Newark, Ohio. Jackson was responsible for all product design and development, having designed most of Dynacraft’s products for a number of years. His responsibilities included sales, marketing and catalog production. Jackson was instrumental in the development of the Dynacraft Clubmaking Institute program. He supervised the Dynacraft technical staff, technical information division and served as an instructor at DCI.

Jackson has written five clubmaking and fitting texts, including Total Clubfitting and The Modern Guide to Clubmaking. He has authored articles for several national and international publications and is a regular contributor to several Internet sites. He is a frequent speaker at golf-related seminars in both the U.S. and Canada. Jackson has participated in the Australian PGA Education Program on numerous occasions.

Born in Cumberland, Maryland, Jackson graduated from Western Maryland College in 1979. He received his Master’s Degree from Frostburg State University in 1983. An educator and golf coach for 12 years, Jackson also acted as director of golf at Wisp Resort in Garrett County Maryland for three years in the mid-1980s.
